Amy Lee has over ten years of experience as an artist in a variety of mediums including mosaic, fabric, wood, glass, metal, and clay. In addition to work included in several craft and art festivals, her work is held in private collections, is installed in homes, and has been sold through Gift Shops in Pennsylvania. Amy enjoys working with different mediums and transferring her knowledge through volunteer efforts. Recent efforts have included working with children to create large art pieces that are then auctioned to benefit non-profit organizations, and helping as a volunteer artist on ABC’s #1 TV show "Extreme Makeover Home Edition".

Her most recent ceramic work is both functional and naturally inspired in porcelain and stoneware. Amy’s inspirations come from the out-of-doors with recent themes including natural colors, oceanic dreams, lupines, and whales. She attempts to emotionally inspire her collectors through interpretations of hiking in Maine and swimming with whales in the Caribbean. Her porcelain and stoneware wheel-thrown, sometimes altered, and hand-built pieces are multiple fired to achieve desired results. Her mosaic works are inspired both by natural themes and her client’s tastes. Each piece is hand-made by the artist and finished according to her inspirations. Amy’s ceramic work is high-fired, functional, microwave, oven, dishwasher, and food-safe. Her mosaic work is created using the traditional Byzantine mosaic process which is a tedious by-hand method. It is her hope that collectors will obtain a piece of out-of-doors inspiration that they can use in their everyday routines.
